Talk the Talk

You know I have came out with a new plan for myself, that is, to not waste time on TV and mobile games.. and don't spend too much time sitting in the living room.. cos I am not doing something productive..
So I came back blogging instead.
also not something to be proud of... LOL!

No lah, at least I am spending more time in front of my lappy browsing info and start reading few pages of some useful books.. *achievement unlock*

Then I stumbled across this post that I drafted super long time ago since I was still in the university.
Super funny reading back and decided to post it now.
I think it is not so overdue yet lah hor. XD

****

So I was eating biscuit in my hostel room while enjoying my web-surfing time after the stressful exam. It was the last piece of my absolute favourite biscuit and I decided to be a gentleman and offer to share to my roommate if he would like to have it. *pat my back for always being so considerate* lol
He look at the cookie for a moment and told me he was full and thanked me for sharing.
wtf

Then the next week I manage to 'reload' these biscuit.
(The freaking soul of my room is back to me again! wtf)

So I opened up the new pack of biscuit and decided to share them again with my friend. This was already my second attempt for offering, but still he rejected it.
Ohhhh...
At this point, I understand that he possibly does not enjoy eating this type of biscuit.

Talk about being thoughtful, this is definitely a more rounded and well-mannered way one can reject something he/she doesn't want it.
Being sharp and direct to people is not a bad idea, but a well-packaged choice of word is always accepted by many.
(At least at that point one would not feel so hurtful when got rejected right lolol)
And, sometimes it is also important for a person to get the whole situation clear.
Not getting a scenario clear is like not having a common sense, and it is awful.
Fundamentally, it is up to the good fisher to hook up fishes even if the lake has not many fishes.

Talk about lunch.
Lunch is not only about the overpriced ayam merah, your hungry stomach, or posting #foodporn to Instagram.
Lunch has a total another way of meaning in it.
Normally we have our lunch together in a round table in our faculty's cafeteria. At that moment, I can't deny that sometimes me and my friends have a clear distinct kinda topic to talk about. At certain moment it is all acceptable.
But once we are showing disinterest, stop being selfish and start acting smarter. Jump out of your you-think-it-is-interesting topic and start talking something everyone can relate. At least that is the bottom line out of all the reasons of a gathering is all about right. We call each other friends because we all have something in mutual and common. Start talking those. No one would ever enjoy one-way talking. Two ways communication~~
Down to the point, it is still up to a person to have a common sense to realise that one-way talking is not anything better to you yourself too.
And start knowing what your friend is doing lately.. not just some virtual topics that you thought we both enjoy it very much, well, at least I am not enjoy talking those. Very awkward indeed.

At the end of the day, it is up to us to decide whether we prefer to walk with the person who is walking using both legs or back-flipping all the time.

***

That was how I felt during that time and started writing all the psycho post as above. lol

Okay I started to miss all the ups and downs and all the crappy nonsense that happened in my uni.
People might think that the people in the engineering faculty is boring. But to me, it is not about how many activities that you have joined throughout your uni life, but to make friends that can make fun of each other, and not angry about it.
and most importantly having a common interest in talking same kinda trash.
Not just a hi-bye friend that you will meet at the other corner of the campus and walk away.
I am lucky lahhhhhhh~

These people are part of the crazy gang:

Picture is taken on the last day of staying in Kolej 10.
(*nothing related to the above post, but kinda related cos it's part of my university life)

Punch card !

"Ehhh.. you finishing your study on next year June?" my mum came and ask me while I'm packing my stuff for my new semester.

"ahh.. Ya lah."

wait

wait

wait WHAT?

I'm finishing my undergraduate course next year?!! I started cold sweating so much.
My palms were like Iron man except sweat was coming out instead of a very cool lighting beam. wtf

I still can't believe it! One more freaking year I will be started working in this cruel reality world! OH NOoooooOOOOoooOO!

Ya lah ya lah, the above statement is totally a statement what a fresh grad would make. *roll eyes*
But I'm not trying to be hipster also lah, when I am genuinely si beh worry I would voice out. wtf

Especially after I got the chance to expose myself to real working environment that is related to my field.
Not like any part-time work with no pressure, no responsibilities and money I was earning was so "easy". "Easy" as in don't need to pay bill, pay loan, pay gas, etc etc. NET INCOME I MEAN COME ON! lol

Also, people must be thinking, itu lah, tak pernah pergi luar tengok masa muda, skang baru risau.
Not really also lah, I must deny that. I have the experiences working in a real office environment also, not only part time work very care-free type of environment. I have experiences working with real working bosses and bossy person also. lol fml
That is the reason why I am concious that me myself is not looking forward to end my university life so fast. *wipe tears*

Looking back at my previous blog posts, I have been a very diligent person to upload a "it's time to go back university" post every starting of a new semester.
One thing that is stupid about the university system is that they have this very long semester break for us to "rest". 3 freaking months is too long in my opinion.
But I felt like I have made full use of my long semester break in every semester.
1st year : HKUST summer school
2nd year : Attended sister's graduation ceremony in London
3rd year : Industrial training

so no complain also.
So instead of worrying so much, why not face it.
This time my "it's time to go back university" post will be all about me myself to get ready for the real working environment!
One more year!!
I need to believe myself that one more year I would have to make my mindset very very clear.
Be super ambitious! And FOCUS! AND BELIEVE!

This new semester year is all about FOCUS! GETTING ORGANISED!

and LOOK!

WHAT A MOTIVATIONAL POST I HAVE CREATED.

*chehhh*

but ya lah.

and of course to reduce going onto FB and YouTube so much.

and blogging.

and new movies.

and new reality shows.

and sleeping so much.

and taking a nap too long.

and to be consistent.

and to stop crapping so much un-nutritious topics with coursemates.

and to stay away from drama in real life.

and to stop being a third person.

and to start practising good healthy lifestyle.

and not sure if I can make it.

and still gonna try.

at least for the first month lah.

never try never know mah

and I am staying 7th floor in my new semester

and if the elevator not functioning then I have to sleep in the cafeteria.

and OMG STOP THE CRAPPPPP!!!!!!

The Classy Kampung Boy!

I have been very busy with my industrial training lately.
I have never expected this at all.

I thought internship for student suppose to be in the office on time, sit in front of a PC, pretend to look at some document when boss is around, swipe FB on phone when boss is not around, eating cheap subsidised lunch in a canteen, make new friends, meet up with bunch of passionate colleagues, and punch card out of office on time.
BUT NO! I could not be more wrong!
Not trying to whine about it.. cos someday job hunter might dig this post up and be very disappointed with me this talented guy. wtf

But I have sooooooooooo much to talk about it. I understand this thing is not supposed to be converted into black and white and posted online.
I also understand I cannot always bring all these useless working stress crap back home.

Now I know why people always say 'everyone needs a good listener'.
#lonely #mrlonely

anyway, I think I have been a very generous blogger already.
as you can tell I have always been soooooo ready to talk about my personal thing here.
I felt like I am almost naked in this (as in things and thoughts happened in my life) lol. #sexy

ANYWAY!
this post is about a random topic that just came across that I thought it would be a good idea to discuss about it.

As you already know, my writing style is not as fancy as iggy azalea, do-that-do-that wtf
not a very active person, not well dressed, not very outgoing, not very good in socialising, ....
all in all,
a kampung guy.

and I can see a lot of people out there are classy in nature.
I have been trying very hard to be acting more classy as far as I am concious. fml lol
trying to talk very carefully, trying to dress better, trying to act better, trying to make friend with cool kids, trying to pick up spoon and forks carefully in a restaurant...

NO, IT'S NOT WORKING *pat my back & wipe tears

at the end of the day this is still not my thing.
I don't feel comfortable doing it and to be surrounded by this unfamiliar environment.
I know that people around has always been brainwashed with the fact that to act more classy is more favoured by the society,
but in my mind, kampung guy can be classy too.
at least in their own way of 'classy'

just don't too overly 'la la' can already lah..

look at me,
at least I am quite a 'classy kampung guy' right.

deep in my heart I still have high hope,
when the time is right, I believe a suitable kampung girl will eventually meet this kampung boy! *raise fist

Introvert

writing this random blog post...
after playing piano and guitar...
sitting in my room...
listening to indie music...
chilling...
never have to think of anything when stressing out at work...
never have to think of communicating with people with different thought and attitude...

when people say "get a life"...
it all depends on how people define life...

life can be so complicated
and can be as simple and easy as that

which I enjoy it so much.
wish everyday could be like this.

Sandals

So the other day I had dinner with my family in a shopping mall. After dinner we walked around window shopping since we were so full. My mum and sis went to the ladies shoes department. I decided to just wander around the men shoes department.

woooooooooo, what a nice pair of sandals.
It is about time to replace my old torn Asadi sandals already!
Tried it on.
Looking good!
Flipped it back to check the tag.

damn.

Put it back on the rack.

Is it only me or all the things now are so pricey!
The cheapest pair of sandals now cost around RM50-ish!

As I carefully put back the expensive sandals to the shoe rack, I saw a white hair old lady at the other side sitting on the chair trying out a new pair of shoes.

Her old husband was just opposite of her carrying her bag.
She bent down slowly while putting on the new shoes.

She put on that shoes and decided to stand up and walk a circle to test the comfort of the shoes. Her husband look at her all the way as she walks.
She came back and sit back down on the chair and asked the opinion of her husband while showing uncertainty on her face.
The shoes seems expensive hence the hesitancy.
Her husband patiently talk to her sounded like if she like the pair of shoes she could just buy it.

The salesman stand there resting his head on his hand on the shoes rack showing impatience to them.
The old lady hesitantly take off the shoes again and put back on to try it on again.
Still looking undecided.

I went away after I received a call from my parents.
I am not sure if they bought the shoes.
But this old couples has made me think of so many things.

Where are their children?
Why is her daughter not beside her?
Their son busy working?

This little scene just reminded me how important for us as a son or daughter to always be thoughtful and to care more about our family.

I am studying in Serdang currently.
While some of my friends came from outside the state do not have the opportunity to always go back to see their family, I feel so blessed I have the freedom to always go back to my home.

One thing I like to remind to myself is that as we are busy growing up, our parents are busy growing old too.
That is why I always love to spend time with my family, talk to my parents, on all sort of things happened in my life, and to listen how they have been in their life too.

Cos I know how limited my time is.
This feeling strikes me more especially when I started my industrial training last 2 weeks ago.
My internship so far was fruitful.
I have learnt so much in the past couple of weeks.
It makes me realise how busy I might be in the future when building my career.
A lot of people really work hard to earn their living.
Came early for work, back home late cos work.
Spent more than 9 hours on office, stuck in traffic for 2 hours, 4 hours left for family before going to bed, already all mentally and physically tired.
And of course this is the price we should pay for building up the career, but to maintain it, or to be excel in it, requires more restless days.
Where is the time else we left for our family right.
What else that is uncertain is the working place I will go in my future.

Down to the point is, it is still up to us if we want to spend out some time with family.
But for me, family is my everything.

*knock knock
ehhh jieeee ah,
buy me a new pair of sandals now.
Right now!
lol
*picture is for illustration purpose only lolol he is my friend's father lol fhl

Stories that we shared

I believe everyone at this age is experimenting something new. We are growing up slowly and still exploring ourselves. There is no wrong when in some moment we have self doubt or lack of self-esteem. Especially at our generation where we are exposed to all sorts of social networking sites which directly bring us to more psychological consequences. Everyone of us at this age knows that. We all can always read articles about how bad social networking is affecting our life, how it ruins our mood and all. We all understand. But still, we cannot get away from it! It's just something that our generation has to go through.
And now it is all up to how one whether or not is mentally prepared to see things at his/her own view.
One way to be mentally grown up a little more is to listen to stories. Any kind of stories that told by anyone.
I am glad that this holiday I spent it quite well, listening to stories.

I remember I swiped through my FB recently and I found one page which interview random people on the street of New York. They asked them to tell their story of their own. I am really impressed. Some are really motivating, some are really worth for everyone of us to pick up and learn from.

Sometimes these stories are not for us to judge. Cos you do not know what and how their personal reason behind it. But in another way, why not to put ourselves in his/her shoes and learn what and how we can face it when it become your story?

I am really grateful how well my holidays are spent. (Cos I don't feel that way normally *LOL)
There is so many opportunities I can heard from a lot of people.

How I listen to stories from others?
I helped my dad in the shop. It's CNY. And this is the peak time for this business.
Every customers who entered to the shop tell their stories.
They all have different background, really.
One has her son in Singapore busy with his career, one shared how hard she just recovered from sickness, one was worried her husband not liking the one thing she bought, one shows how much she care for the tradition and her family.
Really, you do not need to be a reporter to interview them. You can always listen and gain one bit by one bit of these moral stories from them in the shop.
I am really grateful I was there and got the chance to listen to them.
Be a shopkeeper instead!

How else I listen to stories?
It's CNY. We gathered together with relatives in the house and share small talks.
I think I've already told it before, but I am really blessed I am in a big family.
Relatives are the one who always give sincere advices, who else does?
A lot of advices are really just 'raw' and real that apparently you just think that all the nagging were all for your own good. I also enjoyed every moment when I just sit back and listen to my papa mama and aunties uncles having conversation among each other. It's just purely fun and entertaining at the same time.
It is a moment that is so precious that I just can't treasure it enough.

Of course not to forget all the gatherings with friends.
People always say, when you are outside you rely on friends. Yeah, we told all our chap bu long to our friends. No one else has the privilege to know it. We listen to everyone's crap and we still think it is worth to listen. lol.
It is great if everyone pour out their heart to make friends. I personally think that to define friend is to mean that one should be sincerely happy for them when he/she is happy. And again, I might sounded like I am writing will or something (CHOI touch wood) but I am glad I have bunch of friends that can always be there for me la. (CHEESY OIIII!)

At the end of the day...
sometimes we just have to change our perspective a little bit.
when people are telling their story, stop the 'judging' like we always gonna do, but instead we share it with our heart and exchange our stories to them sincerely.
This will definitely makes both parties win-win loh.

I am writing blog to share my story too,
and expecting myself to grow a little more bit by bit everyday,
bear with me,
listen to

STORY OF MY LIFE.

In the noodle stall

Just a short update on the things I manage to discover for the past few weeks/months.

It is already Week 10!
I am damn free right now! This is so unusual and I am so freaking out!  Cos normally around this time I would be busy as hell. As like, to pang sai also no time lah. But this time I can still sit in front of my laptop, lay back and type nonsense and plan for shopping, check for movie schedule, non-stop Ellen's YouTube videos marathon and stuff like that. *not to forget a daily-3hours-FB-scroll
Not sure if I should  feel happy or worry.

No test? NO. We gonna have a very intense Test 2 in the coming next two weeks.
No assignment? NO. We have a lot of assignments. Like, a lot 'a lot', not little 'a lot'.
But why am I still acting so chill!
Cos normally we do things in the last minutes!!
I am so used to it already. Not like how I will react when I was in Form 5/ Form 6 lah.
I am already in my third year in my university. Those innocent moment has gone by now.
As for this moment, I need a certain dose of adrenaline rush in order for me to get things done.
Even studying now feel like it is too early.

SLURP!
Slash slash.
Lately me and my coursemates was talking about our future career and stuff like that, in a noodle stall.
He talked about his experience as an intern in the company of my field. And I am starting to feel motivated after listening to him. (though he was just an intern, was doing job that an intern would do)
I have always been positive about my future working path. I mean, after taking up this course, I have been exposed to various of positive reviews about my "future job". From my lecturers, from my cousins, from my friends' friends, from my seniors, from my dad's customers, from my auntie's sibling's cousin's friends.
Last time I used to always blame myself for taking up course that I don't like. But, now looking back at that time, I was being too naive to think it that way.

Advice is the key. We should always listen to advice. Not just for the sake of listening to it, but to think about why people wanted to say it to you. They tell the story for a reason.

Learn. Now learn to accept advice. Not just always blindly hold on to your own principles in life that you think you are always right. Cos we are human, we are NOT always right. We are still young, the chances of getting things wrong is high. We can have our vision, but not to blindly set a goal.
And I'm glad I listened to advice.

Right now I am still LEARNING to accept ADVICE.
which I think is pretty important.

I am in my third year as an engineering student in UPM already. Still slowly growing up.
I earned this spot in UPM, then I should act like I worth it.
and now it's time to tell everyone that I have no regret, from the deep of my heart.
Because I am always truthful to myself.
There is no use of lying to myself anymore, cos the most pathetic thing that shouldn't happen is to lie to yourself.

Things change, so I don't hope for more. Cos I scare I can't handle the pain once I felt.
I can't promise I will be turns out to be very successful in the future, but at least something has brighten me up a little bit. Bit by bit, by now, slowly. Positively.

*P/S: to the future me, do not feel ashamed when reading this post. Cos everyone grows up. This is just a stage where I am still discovering out myself. It is a transition state that everyone will go through. Some people grow up faster, some people like me, are slower. But it is better than none. At least  right now I am grateful and happy where I am, who I am.

*and at least right now, I see no good reason to act like my age.
BWAHAHAHAHA!

< 21 Random Facts > about me in my 21 years of life in the PLANET !

When I was little, I thought of how I will be growing up as the coolest guy in the town.
I will have my own house, my own car, working as a pilot or a successful entrepreneur.

But things will never be the same.
The price of the houses are insanely increasing like there is no tomorrow. Even in ulu area lah.
A mid-range Malaysia-made-car is affordable, but the amount of the petrol need to pump are like the flowing tap water.
And don't even think about being a pilot. I start wearing glasses since I was standard 5! Air plane passengers won't be safe with a captain with spec like me.

*Big sigh*

Okay lah, just few years ago before I turned 20, I thought my last "-teen" was finally over, things will never be the same again. I am no longer a "teen"ager.
Head up and be more ambitious!
I was so excited when I first stepped into the "twenty-ish" stage of my life.
But look at me now!
=.=''

Okay lah.
At the age of twenty-one, I received my golden key.
I consider 21 as the beginning of an adulthood already.
Let's do things like an adult!
But look at me now!

Okay lah.
But all in all, I'm turning 22.
So I thought it was meaningful to document down some random shit facts about me throughout my 21 years of life in the Earth!

Bear with me,

21 Random Facts about me:
  1. I type every "Happy Birthday" to my friends in Facebook. (I don't just copy paste, I TYPE. See how sincere I am wishing the birthday boy/girl)
  2. My first American variety TV show that I am obsessed with is "The Apprentice, Martha Stewart edition".
  3. The first song I learnt on guitar is "You are my sunshine".
  4. I can't help it but my face turns red when I am shy.
  5. I'm afraid to talk to my classmates when I was in primary school. My parents thought I have autism a.k.a. 自闭症.
  6. I am excited when I see a blank paper because I can draw on that paper. I still love drawing.
  7. I started listening to English song when I was in my primary school and I love to sing "Uptown Girl" and "Hit Me Baby One More Time".
  8. I don't like to read.
  9. I super LOVE to travel.
  10. I am a shy guy in front of people that I just met, but I am a complete retard psycho in front of my friends.
  11. I am in my university just to score my exams.
  12. I broke down when I first entered Form 6.
  13. I broke down again when I first entered Universiti Putra Malaysia.
(But I am all good now. I don't have mental illness don't worry)
  14. I used to love Chinese song. I was a BIG fan of Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Stephanie Sun, Penny Tai, Fish Leong.
  15. I used to be very active in MSN Messenger.
  16. I used to admire a girl on MSN Messenger, who I don't even know how she looks like. I knew her from a friend of mine. But we didn't contact each other again after PMR.
  17. The first Minister I talked to is Dato Ng Yen Yen (former Minister of Tourism) in an event in our faculty in UPM. She asked me where I live. wtf.
  18. I have a online gamer buddy that I knew from Ragnarok Online, cheated me for about 4 years until in recent years, she told me she is a girl not a guy. FML!
  19. I used to handwritten a letter to a girl who I admire, and I was in a cloud nine when she replied me back. That is one of the best moment in my life! Still is!! But too bad we lost contact after high school.
  20. Most of my university friends make fun of me as a joke. (Eg. 外劳,丑八怪) But I don't feel sad though. I am happy to be the person that can joke on and can at least bring some happiness and positivity among them. Trust me, some of them are negative to the max.
  21. I once accidentally locked my roommate in our hostel room and was in a complete shocked when I see my roommate in the room when I am back. (I just woke up after a nap in the afternoon and to get something from my friend at the other room, but I didn't realise my roommate was still in our room! I was so BLUR at that time) He didn't get mad at all tho. I AM SO DAMN PAISEH!
Okay, just to be frank with y'all, I actually spent some time thinking about the most random shit I've came across in my life that worth to be listed. You see how sincere my heart is to write this blog!
很辛苦地在经营! wtf

Okay lah, don't take that seriously.
All in seriousness, twenty-two is no longer twenty-one. you don't say
If you know what I mean.
Twenty-ish is not even the age to play, to have fun, to enjoy life to the max at all.
Twenty-ish is the age for you to think about the future. Start to settle down.

So I think it's time to start a new chapter.
We see more things when we get older.
It is time to change, but we are not in a rush though.
We observe more as life goes on, change slowly,
and one day,

.
.
.

until METAPOD become BUTTERFREE !!!!

GOTTA CATCH'EM ALL! POKEMON!

**
P/S: This post is meant to be posted on my 22nd Birthday. But, suan le, 老子cannot wait liao lah. Until that day I would be at my uni rushing my assignment already.

Draw my story.

So yeah if you know me I am quite a person that have big interest in art. And by art I mean drawing kinda art. Ever since I was in primary school, I draw comic for my friends to read. I think I did mention about it long long time before in this blog. No big secret tho. I really enjoy drawing very much.

When I was small I was quite an introvert. Eating alone in the canteen is not a big deal at all. I do have friends at that time. But I was not that kinda person that will tell my everything to friends. Even when I was an innocent kido. And ya, my academic performance was never my advantage at that time. Quite a loser right? For your info, I was in the third class in my whole school, well, if counted from behind. (it's not a thing to be ashamed of tho, just to clarify) 小时了了,大未必佳。But I guess in my case would be 小时不了了,大未必差。*wink and shrug shoulders*

okay back to my story, so the only way of expressing my emotion, is to draw. Draw things that I like. Pokemon, Digimon, anime, Ragnarok, my own self-created-and-imagined love story. LOL. It was fun and funny at the same time, TBH. And showing my masterpiece artwork is the only way to make me feel proud and happy, and the compliment I get is priceless.

So when about the time when I stepped into secondary school, and people started asking what you gonna be in the future, and that was the time I started doubting. I was just milimeters away to choose Graphic Design as my course for my tertiary education. People say doing something you like means everything to you, especially when it comes to working. My interest is art, art is my interest. So why not?

But after further thinking, I thought, why yes? reality means everything to the people in this world. It's not that choosing Graphic Design has no future, but in a conservative way, well, to be really conservative and a bit biased-minded, it's just not something that I THINK I can manage to make it "big". Competition is strong and I'm not sure I'm capable of those.

So I gave up my so-called "dream". I chose the other route instead.
Regret? Yes. But I've already paralysed. Ain't no time to regret for something I can't change. I've regretted enough in my 21 years of life. (always throwing big philosophy, chehh!)
But in a bright side, I still can do something that I like.

If there is time for me, I will still be doing something that I enjoy doing.
For instance, playing guitar, listening song, singing, watching reality shows. Keeping up with the Karsashians! FTW! Yay! (=.='' why so "unhealthy" one?)
And ya, if time permits, I really wanna post something that I draw in my blog instead of just typing/crapping things about my life.
I look up to a lot of Taiwanese(especially) comic blogger who are really talented and creative. Like Wan Wan ~ CUTE !
So now, introducing :
This is aH Wai !

But I think it would turn up as a 三分钟热度 for me. I'm too impatient to continue something that if I think it is troublesome.
=.=''
wait, what?
Nothing to do here. #kthanksBYE

Hipster

Okay, it’s still the beginning of the semester.  So it is still fine to spend 1 hour of my not-very-precious time to update my blog.

And you know everything just gonna past so fast and freely during the first few weeks. Tests? Assignments? Laboratory project? Not at this time, until week 10 or maybe week 9.
Lecturer is still busy memorizing our names, choosing class rep, and introducing many books to us to photocopy them at the very-packed-photocopy-shop.  (Everybody knows it is illegal, but we do it anyway)

So as for me, besides busy thinking what to eat for lunch and dinner, no more worries and burden.  Nolah, I mean not at this moment, of course.  You know lah lecturers like to schedule all the assignments to the last week.
I guess they just want to take it as one of the reality show to see how we handle the dramas all, you know, like America’s Next Top Model, Master Chef or Hell’s Kitchen.

This is not an educational blog or something. BUT, I wanted to talk about it since I thought about it (o.O tongue twister ! +1)

Word of the day : HIPSTER !

Hipster is a person who thinks that being ordinary is too mainstream.

How to differentiate whether a person is a hipster.

Sometimes not only the outfit can decide whether the person is a hipster or not. Some just being TRENDY. Trendy ain’t hipster.

Hipsters tend to have a narrower mind.  They don’t accept advices.

A : IPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S-III are for gays, I love my LG phone. #Hipster
B : I have my own stand, I do it because I have my own principle. I do not wish people to step beyond it.  #Hipster
C : Ya, I know everybody is watching, so it’s just the right time to shout out my dissatisfaction without thinking the others. #HipsterMuch
D : I know he has a better idea, but I want people to listen to me, because he is a jerk. #HipsterBeingInconsiderate.

I don’t like people being too extreme. I understand people set a certain principle for their life. And it’s right for them to follow. But please, with an open mind.  Always think of other people, because every decision made might troubles others unintentionally.  Majority of the people will follow the majority.
Hipster will be hipster.

Shake them out

My sister always says to me that result is not anything when you are in the university.
That is ...hmm..., true.
But let just back to reality.
We always do comparison since we were born.
From kindergarten until university. We always compare the marks on the examination sheet.
Even after we graduated, we compare the amount of money we can earn.
How wealthy is your family, how big is your house, how expensive is your car, or even, how beautiful is your wife?

This is a cruel world. A mad world indeed.

So please tell me, result is not anything? Not at all.
Right now, at this moment, examination result is everything for me.
Yeah, I bet is the kiasu attitude in me, perhaps, the air surrounded around me.

This is the story :
I used to be always get teased by people. I can always take it as a joke. I smiled and laughed. That is the only way I can continue with the conversation. I am not angry nor sad. I am not that confident enough as the rest, that is my weakness, and so I think I deserve all these teases.

I was searching the so called confidence in the past.
Right now I am searching for something which can make me feel good about myself, can let my parents feel proud about me.

I have nothing left.
Besides writing out nonsense on a piece of paper and posting some non-nutritious blog posts on my blog, I do not have anything left to make me feel better about myself.
Sometimes even in a casual conversation with bunch of friends, I can hardly feel the "yeah".
By doing my very best in every test and examination in every semester, and thus get a good result, is the only thing I can feel good about myself.

Eventhough I can't guarantee that these examination result I get can brings the success of my future, but something I know right now is that, it is everything for me to feel good about me as a person.

That is also always the reason why I wanna learn new things to stuff up my life.
I've found the importance to always learn something new to me.
Even if it is a half-filled pail (direct translation). But I don't care.

Yeah.
This is rather random.
I am not disappointed, I am not sad. Just neutral.
I am just shaking it out, something that haunts me.
Here is the song :

Sorry, don't get tired of the frequency of the glee song videos in my blog.
Just a nice song wanted to share.

GET A LIFE, YOU NERD!
I BET YOU DON'T HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE.
*Okay*

I aim for the second place !

Some people live for the fortune ~ Some people live just for the fame ~ Some people live for the power ~ Some people live just to play the game ~
*singing emotionally*

Oh yeah~ damn true.
So, in which category you fall into?

I used to be so "dream-ful" in the past.
Not to say that I'm not a "vision-ful" person any more, I still have my own target, but I do not set it too high.
Comparing to others who live just to get a good result as to define the only meaning of their life. I mean, young adult, spend a little more time to build up some new hobbies instead.
Don't leave any regret for your past.
Loosen up a little more and you will not be the one who suffer.

Even koala cannot believe you only sleep 8 hours !

Of course, if to imagine it as a transverse wave form, the amplitude of my up-down would definitely not as large as the others. I'm not an adventurous person. I always prefer a calm life.
Being so practical and objective, I aim high, but I don't dream big.
I hold on to this principle, but I'm not sure is that a right one for me.

Ahhhh.....
Such a big gap of time since my last post. Not very used to it when writing a new post now.
Anyway, 10 new songs-of-this-moment :
1. Payphone - Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa
2. Underneath - Adam Lambert
3. Somebody That I Used to Know - Gotye
4. Brokenhearted - Karmin
5. The Vision of Love - Kris Allen
6. Starships - Nicki Minaj
7. Think Like A Man - Jennifer Hudson ft. Ne-Yo
8. Here's To Us - Halestorm
9. How Deep Is Your Love - Glee Version
10. How Will I Know - Glee Version

Wise Words

It's interesting to learn oral interaction skills here in university. I get to know that Malaysian pronounce a lot of simple English words wrongly. Wrong in pronunciation and rhythm. Not being stereotype, Malays speak in English with monotone, Chinese tends to speak with the addition of extra exclamation while Indians speaks like singing a song or added a lot of tongue-rolling. Well, we can't change the way Malaysians speak in English, this is our accent anyway.

Speaking of interaction, tone always doesn't matter for me, even the content. What is more important? The way that people play around the words.
I like to see people playing around with the words they saying. This can show one's intelligence. I admire those people that can rapidly arrange nicely those words they wanted to talk and manage to convince another so easily. I mean, how can your brain process so fast and function so well.

I guess that is one of the reason why I always keep myself updated to the political news in Malaysia. Politicians use mouth to make money, and I always like to listen to what they say, although I know most of it are a lie or a blank promise anyway.

I'm almost 21. Most of the people surrounded are similar to my age. So it's quite funny to know that some people still can't get the importance of "words play". I know sometimes they said it without really meant it but it's still better to modify a little the sentence trying to present. Part of it is to do some actings. What's is in your heart does not mean that it is needed to be exposed out entirely.

So in this case, a "Thank you" is just fine, although another hidden word is in your mind.

And ya, no hatred is in my mind, because I don't hate you, I'm just not excited about your existence.
What a "word play"!

And when people just directly speak something that is hard to listen, close your ears then.
Awww, cute little animal~

Writing this post makes me feel so guilty. I speak without using my brain sometimes. I definitely hurt quite a lot of people in the past. Sowwie~ hope you forgive aH Wai~... I'll try to avoid it this time. HEHE~

Today is the leap day.
29th of February happens 4 years once. Rare indeed.
72 years old man celebrate his 18th birthday today. Hooray for young old man!

I don't like to memorize any special day or date. I'm quite a forgetful person.
Today was just another normal day for me in UPM. But for those who enjoy celebrating special day, hope you guys have an interesting day. Stay reading!

Control

Something I worry about when I'm back in UPM, besides new subjects and lectures, is my adorable coursemates. Speaking of uniqueness, each one of them has their own kind.
Besides through regular interaction and chatting like "pass me the tissue paper" or "the rice of the cafeteria today is a little bit harder to bite", there's one more thing just came to my mind according to my observation - EQ.

All of my coursemates ain't that bad, maybe I'm just biased all this while, or I still don't really understand them well enough, even after 18 weeks of "coursemate-ship".

So I asked Uncle Google about this EQ thingy. This EQ thingy has bothered me for quite a couple of days after the opening of the new semester. What the hell actually is EQ?
Emotional Intelligence (EI) describes an ability to and manage the emotions of one's self, and of others. So, Emotional Quotient (EQ) is the measurement of EI.

Think again, with the intention to survive in this 4-years-course, without failing to communicate properly with your working partners, managing own EI is the best way. I think this is simply the only way yet hardest survivor skill for me to make it. So, the other way to substitute it is to ignore.

I had a written note stuck in front of my study table during my first semester - "Don't ever think too much, it ruins your life" as a reminder before I step out of my hostel door. Not any philosophy, but sometimes we can't deny the power of one simple sentence like this. We only can understand it when we experienced it.

Well, life's too short to eat a carrot whole~ even care at all ohh~
So here's a song introduced by Glee, originally by Young The Giant - Cough Syrup.

One of my latest favourite song and wanted to introduce to all my friends here.
Music always speaks what words can't.
That is why I never stop listening to songs.
I guess it's one of the way to control one's EQ, isn't it?
:D
Cheers!

I hate it when...

I hate it when people start talking about other topic whenever I still wanna continue with the initial topic.
Seriously, stop dodging! Just let me know more about it! I'm curious!Hoho!
Never mind~ I always have the way to turn back to this topic. You just wait~ *evil face*

I hate it when people uses weird example to replace the actual meaning of the words they trying to say.
Seriously, how do you expect me to concentrate to your story you trying to express when you give us those ridiculous example to describe your words.
"The meaning of life is like you are wearing a astronaut jacket, swimming in the Pacific Ocean to search for the habitat of kangaroo."
*Rolling my eyes*
I would clap for your imagination anyway.

I hate it when I'm in the awkward moment where two person just about to start a fight.
Seriously, one of you just calm down and step backward a little. Pride is not that important after all compared to relationship isn't it?
I'll always be the one chilling the situation out~ Eg: Make jokes about myself.
The sad side of a joker. T__T

I hate it when the touching/sad story of a movie comes only at the ending of it.
Seriously, I need the time for my tears to dry up before the lights of the cinema switch back on.
NO! I refuse to use my sleeve to sweep my tears away. It will be too obvious to let people notice I'm sobbing!

I hate it when I realise there are only 3 days away before my second semester of my university life.
Seriously, 5 weeks of holiday? Why so short?!
Some people enjoy their university life so much. Some of my friends even go back to uni after 2 weeks of break. I don't love my university that much.
Have to start packing my stuff already.
Not sure will update my blog as frequent as now or not.
Stay reading! :)

Internet Sensation

Some people enjoy reading novel to spend their free time. I tried. It just doesn't work for me. I eventually felt asleep after few minutes of reading. (The book I tried to read on is my sister's The Twilight Saga )
Lack of reading - that's the consequence for my poor English grammar.
But anyway, here's an equation for myself :
No bombastic vocabulary is used = No pressure for blog readers = Happy reading ! :D
...............
I'm sorry loh, it's just an excuse for me for my poor English.

There are reasons why I can always stay at home for the whole day with my computer and internet.

1. You-Tube
Besides watching to music channel on You-Tube, there are several other awesome entertaining channels too.
I selected some of my favourite subscribed channel of mine to share with you!

Mystery Guitar Man
This Brazilian-American makes crazy creative videos. Superb video editing skill. I bet this guy has very good music background too. He can literally use anything to create amazing music video. Here's one of his video :

Ray William Johnson
Famous You-Tube star. He created this show called "=3". 3 short random viral funny videos will be introduced by him every week. If you never heard of him :

The Ellen Show
Hosted by 56 years old Ellen. A talk show like Oprah Winfrey Show. Very energetic, hilarious and always prank the celebrities on her show. This show doesn't broadcast on any Malaysia TV channel, not even on Astro. So I watch her show on You-Tube :

Wong Fu Production
By 3 Taiwanese-Americans. Another famous You-Tube channel. They direct videos with meaningful stories.
Here's one of them :

Niga Higa
Japanese-American. He can talk real fast. Funny, and sometimes quite lame. Depends how you look at his video. Here's one of his song with his bunch of Asian friends in America :

They all can earn money from You-Tube under You-Tube partnership where if you notice it, those videos will have a Google ads comes out after a few seconds starting of the video which eventually you will close it by clicking the "x" button on the top right of the rectangle ads. Under this partnership, every views of their video makes money and go directly into their pocket.

Same goes to blogging. There are professional full-time bloggers make money online. By renting advertisement on their blog. But at the first place, you must have the popularity first. So when reader click on the website, views count will become the income for these bloggers.

2. Blog

kennysia.com is actually the first blog I read. Kenny Sia is from Kuching. What I like about his blog is that he takes beautiful pictures from the places he visited. He travelled to quite a lot of places around the world. He writes funny posts. Been awarded the Nuffnang's Asia-Pacific Award - Best Entertaining Blog.
But then he decreases his blog update in recent years as he is currently concentrating on his own fitness company in Kuching.

xiaxue.sg is a more girly style blog. She is very good at photo editing. Every photo of her she posted on her blog are all edited. I normally will skip those posts about those cosmetic products she introduced. What I like about her is that she is hilarious and very straight. Totally fearless and just write whatever she likes to write.
Been awarded Nuffnang's Asia-Pacific Award - Best Influential Blog and Region's Best Blog.
But I actually prefer her internet video series on You-Tube : XiaXue's Guide to Life.
Watch and you'll know :

I'm not sure have you watched this wedding proposal video which gone viral on the internet last year.
This cute Malaysian couple both are blogger too.

"A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri is just so right for this video !
In case you are not familiar with the cartoons on the card the lucky guy's holding, there are actually all from 9gag.com, another superb webby that i can spend my whole day on.
9gag.com is all about funny pictures, cartoons and comics.

This is all the website I surf on the internet. This is where I spend my free time on.

I don't write blog during my free time. I write when I feel like writing, even how busy I am.
If you notice, I'm always trying to make my blog not to look so dull and "self-centred".
Promise no more emo post! NO MORE! Happy Blogging! Happy Reading! :D

Woah.. This is the post with most videos! Enjoy watching !

2012 ~

When I was little, I used to make a wish every night before I close my eyes. Hugging pillows with warm and soft blanket, thinking the next day my wish will come true. Ehem, I guess I was quite a "fairy-tale" kid in the past, wasn't I? And please don't say you don't have a childhood past time.
Hmm, surprisingly, some wishes I made come true somehow.

Wishes and dreams push one to work harder. Making one to always believe in something. They are not that essential but I believe they are necessary in our life.
One who has dream works harder for life.
At least this is what I thought.

Well, as for now, my dreams, not sure when, but are achievable :
To be a backpacker. Have a month time travel to the places I wanted to go.
Europe countries with bread and coffee;
Aussie with kangaroos;
Japan with sakura and sushi.
Gosh~ tears. T__T

Own a DSLR and take beautiful pictures from these places.
Of course I need a DSLR if I am going to these places. Digital camera is way not enough for me. :P
Not sure how, but the interest of photography just developed inside me.
But is it only me or guys are born to love the camera and girls are born to love to be captured by the camera?  Hmm, at least my facebook highlights always give me the prove.

Every end of the year, I review back what I have done throughout the year.
I complain about it. Then I feel regret about it.
Yes yes yes, this year is still as sucky as last year. Or maybe suckier.
I pray hard and wish my 2012 starts with a brand new beginning. Smoother life. Happier.
AND I DON'T ASK FOR MORE.

And guess what? I have this baby to motivate me whenever I feel sucky.

Hell yeah !!

Happy New Year everyone !!

:D !!!!

Spinning Round and Round

Something I've learnt so far in here...
Everyone in my course is so damn emotional and negative...
They don't speak directly in front of you, but through the third parties...
They let you know their feeling through these people, with purposes...
Every word they wanted to show it to you shows sarcasm...
Analyse every words they give, and you will know the stories behind it...

Being in this group makes me so negative...
Even a really small matter can become so bad...
(I think I've talked about this in my previous post... Well, I guess I will write this again on my future post...)

I'm seriously facing an emotional roller-coaster situation now...
I used to be a very cheerful person... happy-go-lucky... nothing to worry...
But now, I'm trying so hard to be cheerful...
I don't usually write negative post on my blog, because I don't like bad memories...

This is the worst situation I've came across so far in my life...

I go home almost every week cause I don't like to be here...
But somehow I have to be patient...

It's good for me in some sense, as this will remind me to grow up a little...
Train me to face these challenges in this bad situation...

Being in this group is seriously NOT EASY...
You can't choose to be alone... because you can't survive here...
Your choice is just to choose which group you wanted to join...

So if you are me...
Are you brave enough to face it? Tough enough to bare it?

Kah Wai, here you go, FML again... :')

Perfect :)

What is "confidence" mean to you?
Something I didn't even wanna bother about in my old days.
Until recent years, I find out that this thing is so damn important to me.
I look up to people that is confident. Even to those person who has "excessive" confident.
Where do they get the confidence from?

I am not well-trained to be a very confident person.
I'm always lack of self-esteem. Don't believe in myself that I'm gonna achieve in something.
Though sometimes when I receive compliment from others, I'm not willing to accept it.

I'm afraid when people ask me whether if I have any people I admired? (those girlfriend-boyfriend relationship)
I don't know how to answer them.
I think I used to have those "passion", but not now anymore.
Why no more? Reason?
I think most probably because, first, I'm blessed to have lots of lots of love from my family, so I don't think there's necessary to find love from someone else.
Secondly, I'm not confident to start a relationship with someone.
If I don't love myself, how can I expect people to love me?

Seriously thanks to those people who step in my life and always ask me to be more confident.
Never give up in believing me. Billions of thanks.
I'm brave enough to say that I'm a very fragile person (as a male, which is not supposedly to be fragile)
T____T

I have to become tougher!
Give me some time to prove it.

I have this song just come at the right time.
I don't usually post lyric and video here... but this song motivates me.
Love yourself, because you are perfect.

Perfect
Made a wrong turn
Once or twice
Dug my way out
Blood and fire
Bad decisions
That's alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss "no way it's all good"
It didn't slow me down
Mistaken
Always second guessing
Underestimated
Look, I'm still around...

Pretty, pretty please
Don't you ever, ever feel
Like your less than
Less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please
If you ever, ever feel
Like your nothing
You are perfect to me

Book with knowledges

Facebook has been the medium for me through ups and downs since I registered an account. I seldom update my facebook status, but I definitely often sign in to facebook for stories from my "friends". Sometimes their stories made my days.

I believe most of your friends grow up in almost similar environment just like you. Some of them are same age with you, went to the same school with you, and was your besties in the past. But at a time when you start looking them back on facebook, you will realise that they had grown up so much.

Apparently, I envy about most of my friend's current life most of the time.

This post is not about facebook for me, but something that I've learned from my friends through facebook. There are statements that made by my friend inspires me. I truly believe those statements were made by themselves and not copy from other sources. (Before the existence of the popular page "Book of Quotes" on facebook)
Some of the statement that that I find it very meaningful:
  1. When people need you they will remember you but when they don't need you...you are invisible to them.
  2. When challenge finds you don't ask "Why me?" Instead say "Why not."
  3. If you can't be a pencil to write any one's HAPPINESS, then try at least to be a nice rubber to erase everyone's SORROW.
  4. You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don't love yourself.
  5. I believe the social environment forces one's negative characteristics ; I am not born sarcastic and mean, we just act accordingly to prevent getting hurt by anyone.
  6. If people are trying to bring you DOWN, it only means that you are ABOVE them.
Sorry I didn't give a credit to you guys. I'm sure you won't mind when you read this. There are more statements that inspires me. These are the statements that motivate me.

I do jealous and envy about my friend's life, but it is always better to live our own life in our own way. Making life less miserable, always appreciate what we have. Look forward and do not ever regret.

Hmm... philosophy ya? :P

So what is facebook to you?
