The Merlion Country

What comes to your mind when I mention "Singapore"?
National University of Singapore?
Or Singaporean with those "kia su" attitude?
By claiming on Yee Sang as one of their invention and belongs to them? First it was Bah Kut Teh, then Hainanese rice chicken... now Yee Sang? So what's next?
Come on, we all know that Yee Sang is originated from China! Yeah, it doesn't belong to us Malaysian either... but please don't claim it as one of your traditional/cultural food in your country.
Sigh...

Anyway, speaking of Yee Sang... CNY was awesome.
Hanging out with bunch of true friends is seriously amazing.
Went to Singapore with my family for vacation during CNY.

This is Singapore.
Singapore is a small country about half the size of Pulau Langkawi.

Fun fact about Singapore:
There are 3 types of car plate for the vehicles in Singapore.
The black one : like Malaysia, private car a.k.a. own car.

The yellow one : vehicles by a company for employee.

The red one : only can be used during non-working hours. The price of the car is cheaper and they do it this way to prevent traffic jam.

These are some of the places I went in Singapore:

1. Jurong Bird Park Singapore.

Look what I found! PINK FLAMINGO IN THE POOL~
They make me wanna sing the song "Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry~ xD

2. Marina Bay Sand Singapore
There are 2 casinos in Singapore. One is opened by our Malaysia Lim Goh Tong in Resort World Sentosa, Singapore. The other 1 is opened by "guai lou" i.e. the Marina Bay Sand. In case you can't see clearly the building, it is actually three buildings holding a "sampan" on top.
The night view of Singapore in Marina Bay Sand.
And there's a water show opposite there. Where water vapours are made by the splashing of water as the screen and a projector behind projecting the animation. Very creative. Here's a video :

3. Clark Quay
I don't really know this place. The tour guide brings us here. A place for all the "guai lou" gather. Pub and bar along the street.
Some of the interesting bars I found :

 4. Singapore Flyer
A giant observation wheel to view Singapore. Half an hour for 1 whole circle.

5. Universal Studios Singapore

The Transformer Ride 3D which just opened in December 2011 in Universal Studios Singapore.
Look how long is the queues!!! More than 1 hour of waiting ! Siao!
But it was awesome. I would say it is more like a 4D ride... Worth waiting !
Really really great graphic and effect ! There will be opening one in Universal Studio in Hollywood soon on May.

 6. Merlion

I don't really know the story behind it. Our tour guide sucks. So I searched it on the internet about it.
The Merlion (Malay: Singa-Laut) is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot of Singapore. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name — Singapura — meaning "lion city" or "kota singa".

7. Bugis Street
Shopping.

Around 4 hours + ride back to Klang. Hmm... Overall the trip was okay. Not much expectation though.
Guess what I brought back to Malaysia ?
"Don't mess around with me, cause I'm back in Malaysia with Singaporean attitude now." *ngek ngek*
