The Merlion Country

What comes to your mind when I mention "Singapore"?
National University of Singapore?
Or Singaporean with those "kia su" attitude?
By claiming on Yee Sang as one of their invention and belongs to them? First it was Bah Kut Teh, then Hainanese rice chicken... now Yee Sang? So what's next?
Come on, we all know that Yee Sang is originated from China! Yeah, it doesn't belong to us Malaysian either... but please don't claim it as one of your traditional/cultural food in your country.
Sigh...

Anyway, speaking of Yee Sang... CNY was awesome.
Hanging out with bunch of true friends is seriously amazing.
Went to Singapore with my family for vacation during CNY.

This is Singapore.
Singapore is a small country about half the size of Pulau Langkawi.

Fun fact about Singapore:
There are 3 types of car plate for the vehicles in Singapore.
The black one : like Malaysia, private car a.k.a. own car.

The yellow one : vehicles by a company for employee.

The red one : only can be used during non-working hours. The price of the car is cheaper and they do it this way to prevent traffic jam.

These are some of the places I went in Singapore:

1. Jurong Bird Park Singapore.

Look what I found! PINK FLAMINGO IN THE POOL~
They make me wanna sing the song "Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry~ xD

2. Marina Bay Sand Singapore
There are 2 casinos in Singapore. One is opened by our Malaysia Lim Goh Tong in Resort World Sentosa, Singapore. The other 1 is opened by "guai lou" i.e. the Marina Bay Sand. In case you can't see clearly the building, it is actually three buildings holding a "sampan" on top.
The night view of Singapore in Marina Bay Sand.
And there's a water show opposite there. Where water vapours are made by the splashing of water as the screen and a projector behind projecting the animation. Very creative. Here's a video :

3. Clark Quay
I don't really know this place. The tour guide brings us here. A place for all the "guai lou" gather. Pub and bar along the street.
Some of the interesting bars I found :

 4. Singapore Flyer
A giant observation wheel to view Singapore. Half an hour for 1 whole circle.

5. Universal Studios Singapore

The Transformer Ride 3D which just opened in December 2011 in Universal Studios Singapore.
Look how long is the queues!!! More than 1 hour of waiting ! Siao!
But it was awesome. I would say it is more like a 4D ride... Worth waiting !
Really really great graphic and effect ! There will be opening one in Universal Studio in Hollywood soon on May.

 6. Merlion

I don't really know the story behind it. Our tour guide sucks. So I searched it on the internet about it.
The Merlion (Malay: Singa-Laut) is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot of Singapore. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name — Singapura — meaning "lion city" or "kota singa".

7. Bugis Street
Shopping.

Around 4 hours + ride back to Klang. Hmm... Overall the trip was okay. Not much expectation though.
Guess what I brought back to Malaysia ?
"Don't mess around with me, cause I'm back in Malaysia with Singaporean attitude now." *ngek ngek*

Weirdo

Are you surrounded by something weird every day?
I do.

Every time when having dinner in a restaurant with my family :
So this is how my dad or mum order dishes.
So tell me, "How you cook your meat" ? *Evil laugh*

Hmm...
This is the news reporter I noticed :
Every single time. Almost every news reporter on every channel has the same dramatic eyebrow along with a slight jump when reporting a news.

Oh, what about in the university?
This is our lecturer.
Don't ever hand in your assignment late !
And of course I need plenty of time to mark your paper !

Well, you know, I'm always concern about things happening around the globe. I read news!
So here's what happen in Singapore :

Wow! Pay cut for citizens and nation ah?
Ah Jib, how about our country?
Okay loh....

What else is weirder :
Every where I go, there will always a bunch of people saying that I look like a comedian to them.
*Cough* Excuses me, what should I react to your statement? Is that a compliment or the other way round?
So I will interpret it in my own way: I'm capable to be on the television or in a movie. I'm capable to become a celebrity !
Hell YEAH! Thanks buddy! *bro fist*

HAHAHA! Weird post for weird reader like you! :P
*Poof*

Run !

"A good start is half the job done"
To get off a good start is 50% away from success.
But it was a rough start for my 2012. Many things happened recently.

My first semester in UPM can be considered over. Second semester is starting after 5 weeks of break time.
I'm kinda used to the "flow" of this university. The "flow" of everything. The marking system, the coursework distribution, the activities, etc.

A phrase to describe my first semester life in UPM.
Lesson learnt : Do not ever jump too high, because once you fall, you will feel the pain.
So I'm not going to expect anything superb for my second semester life. Do my best, and most importantly, to kick off with a good start. Because started out with the right foot before we leap definitely allow us to go further.

I think it's time to share my "10 songs of this moment" :
1. We Are Young - Glee cast version
2. It Will Rain - Bruno Mars
3. Pumped Up Kick - Foster The People
4. A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
5. Domino - Jessie J
6. Rumour Has It - Adele
7. Better than I Know Myself - Adam Lambert
8. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz
9. Breakeven - The Script (Lately only discover this song... Listened to it before somewhere last time)
10. Love You Like A Love Song - Selena Gomez (HAHA! Don't laugh! This song is very catchy and rather addictive!)
Listen to those songs. Of course those are good songs. Must see who is the one introduce mah~ HOHO!
Enjoy ! :D

2012 ~

When I was little, I used to make a wish every night before I close my eyes. Hugging pillows with warm and soft blanket, thinking the next day my wish will come true. Ehem, I guess I was quite a "fairy-tale" kid in the past, wasn't I? And please don't say you don't have a childhood past time.
Hmm, surprisingly, some wishes I made come true somehow.

Wishes and dreams push one to work harder. Making one to always believe in something. They are not that essential but I believe they are necessary in our life.
One who has dream works harder for life.
At least this is what I thought.

Well, as for now, my dreams, not sure when, but are achievable :
To be a backpacker. Have a month time travel to the places I wanted to go.
Europe countries with bread and coffee;
Aussie with kangaroos;
Japan with sakura and sushi.
Gosh~ tears. T__T

Own a DSLR and take beautiful pictures from these places.
Of course I need a DSLR if I am going to these places. Digital camera is way not enough for me. :P
Not sure how, but the interest of photography just developed inside me.
But is it only me or guys are born to love the camera and girls are born to love to be captured by the camera?  Hmm, at least my facebook highlights always give me the prove.

Every end of the year, I review back what I have done throughout the year.
I complain about it. Then I feel regret about it.
Yes yes yes, this year is still as sucky as last year. Or maybe suckier.
I pray hard and wish my 2012 starts with a brand new beginning. Smoother life. Happier.
AND I DON'T ASK FOR MORE.

And guess what? I have this baby to motivate me whenever I feel sucky.

Hell yeah !!

Happy New Year everyone !!

:D !!!!

Spinning Round and Round

Something I've learnt so far in here...
Everyone in my course is so damn emotional and negative...
They don't speak directly in front of you, but through the third parties...
They let you know their feeling through these people, with purposes...
Every word they wanted to show it to you shows sarcasm...
Analyse every words they give, and you will know the stories behind it...

Being in this group makes me so negative...
Even a really small matter can become so bad...
(I think I've talked about this in my previous post... Well, I guess I will write this again on my future post...)

I'm seriously facing an emotional roller-coaster situation now...
I used to be a very cheerful person... happy-go-lucky... nothing to worry...
But now, I'm trying so hard to be cheerful...
I don't usually write negative post on my blog, because I don't like bad memories...

This is the worst situation I've came across so far in my life...

I go home almost every week cause I don't like to be here...
But somehow I have to be patient...

It's good for me in some sense, as this will remind me to grow up a little...
Train me to face these challenges in this bad situation...

Being in this group is seriously NOT EASY...
You can't choose to be alone... because you can't survive here...
Your choice is just to choose which group you wanted to join...

So if you are me...
Are you brave enough to face it? Tough enough to bare it?

Kah Wai, here you go, FML again... :')

Problem? :)

Few problems I'm facing in the university that cannot be solved :

Staying in the college, taking shower become a challenge for me. Especially in the morning. The water at that time is freezing cold. I have the habit of taking shower in the morning. No choice, but to spend around half an hour in the bathroom, waiting for my courage to come, to jump in the water shower. COLD SEI NGO AHHHHHHH.

Forgotten to bring along the room key with you is another problem. Even the pantry and toilet are just beside my room. I lock my door everytime when I walk out of my room. It is always too late for me to realise I left my room key inside. Worse, when I just finish my shower, half naked with a tower hanging around my neck, hopelessly thinking what should I do and who should I find. I LEFT MY HANDPHONE INSIDE TOO.  AHHHH.....

15 minutes walking distance from my college to my faculty. Sounds like a short distance, but it is actually quite far away! Without fail, every time I will be sweating like mad when I reach the lecture hall. Even though I just WALK, not RUN. Worse, when you are informed that the lecture has been cancelled. I'M GONNA KILL THE LECTURER!

Music is everything to me. You guys know I'm those kinda person who like to sing out loud. When I sing, and I'm really into it, I literally INTO it. So here's another problem I'm facing. People find me irritating with this action. So sorry to annoy you with those songs you don't usually listen to. Even though I have a great voice. HAHAHAHA!

So tell me, what's your problem now?
:DDDDDDD

Perfect :)

What is "confidence" mean to you?
Something I didn't even wanna bother about in my old days.
Until recent years, I find out that this thing is so damn important to me.
I look up to people that is confident. Even to those person who has "excessive" confident.
Where do they get the confidence from?

I am not well-trained to be a very confident person.
I'm always lack of self-esteem. Don't believe in myself that I'm gonna achieve in something.
Though sometimes when I receive compliment from others, I'm not willing to accept it.

I'm afraid when people ask me whether if I have any people I admired? (those girlfriend-boyfriend relationship)
I don't know how to answer them.
I think I used to have those "passion", but not now anymore.
Why no more? Reason?
I think most probably because, first, I'm blessed to have lots of lots of love from my family, so I don't think there's necessary to find love from someone else.
Secondly, I'm not confident to start a relationship with someone.
If I don't love myself, how can I expect people to love me?

Seriously thanks to those people who step in my life and always ask me to be more confident.
Never give up in believing me. Billions of thanks.
I'm brave enough to say that I'm a very fragile person (as a male, which is not supposedly to be fragile)
T____T

I have to become tougher!
Give me some time to prove it.

I have this song just come at the right time.
I don't usually post lyric and video here... but this song motivates me.
Love yourself, because you are perfect.

Perfect
Made a wrong turn
Once or twice
Dug my way out
Blood and fire
Bad decisions
That's alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss "no way it's all good"
It didn't slow me down
Mistaken
Always second guessing
Underestimated
Look, I'm still around...

Pretty, pretty please
Don't you ever, ever feel
Like your less than
Less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please
If you ever, ever feel
Like your nothing
You are perfect to me
