Malaysia University of Putra - The Beginning

It's has been more than a month in Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Gift from Faculty of Engineering
I was quite busy involving myself in many activities, until recently.
Lot of things happened. No idea where to start.
Let's see...

1. Electrical and Electronic Engineering Course Night
Course Night is sort of a tradition in UPM. Every course will be doing a Course Night where all the students of that course are invited and gathered for a dinner. Students from the 1st year to the 4th year. Particularly, for Chinese only. We as the 1st year junior were asked to perform during this course night on stage for 1 hour. No doubt, training for almost 4 hours everyday, starts from that day we were given this task until the night before the course night. More than 2 weeks for our preparation. In a good way, we as course mates get to know each other better. But, quarrels did happened during the last few days before we perform. Groups with different attitude of people are formed among us. It's sad, yet predicted.
E&E Course Night

Hmm.. something that is worth to mention is that I get to play guitar (with my novice-level guitar skill) and sing a list of songs with my other course mate on stage. That is really an amazing experience. First time performing with own guitar playing on stage - CHECKED! Hope there's is more FIRST TIME to come before I graduate.

2. The 10th College
My bed
The 10th College is the college for Engineer-to-be students and Architect-to-be students. I'm staying on the 4th  floor. The room is considered good. The best thing about this college is that the engineering faculty is just 10~15 minutes walk from the college.

White rice served with soy sauce chicken (sucks!)

Food here sucks, and so, with my bunch of picky-mouth friends, they found out the way to order better food delivery from outside of the campus to our college.
Cheap, efficient, delicious.

Faculty of Engineering
3. Faculty of Engineering
As I mentioned before, Electrical and Electronic Engineering was not my choice earlier. Anyway, I'm getting more comfortable studying this course now. Decision made and I have to look ahead for more things to come. Maybe I'm really interested in this course, because I still don't find any difficulties in accepting the things I learned during lecture. Well, so far so good. What have we learned so far? Electrical and Electronic Principles, Computer Programming, Engineering Mathematics, and some other not-related-to-this-course subjects. More to come : Semiconductors, Electrical Circuits, Control Circuit, etc.

4. First Test in University
Faculty of Engineering
All of the form 6 students are trained for 13 years to the system where we have to only focus in our main public examination at the end of the study year only. The university academic valuation becomes a bit not so familiar to us. First test carries 20% of the whole CGPA of the course. It is important. This test is called as 'test' but it is not a 'test' for me at all. I can feel the competition surrounding in my class because everyone of them is an academic-excellent student. This is definitely stressful for me. The test is over and I know I did my best. Finger-cross for satisfying result.

5. Friends
I'm a person who is very hard to adapt to a new environment. I always envy those people who can speaks and be friend with other very well even in a short time. I do have a gang (not-so-friend-gang, as for now) to hang around in UPM. But I'm still looking forward to make more friends in here.

Yarh! That's my new life in Universiti Putra Malaysia so far.
I did this to my friends every time I walk into the lecture class. HAHA!
