Day Trip to Bukit Tinggi and Bentong

Last year around August, me and my family went to Bukit Tinggi. By Bukit Tinggi, I mean the Bukit Tinggi located on mountain in the state of Pahang.

With the intention to make this post a little bit more "useful",  I am now trying hard to flash back how my daddy drove us there. We actually over drove to the wrong side of the highway, and then my mummy, as usual, was so ganjiong until my daddy have to stop by the petrol station by the highway to ask for the direction to U-turn back. Told ya, my whole family has the fear of getting lost. And I bet no sense of direction is genetic. Well, at last we successfully made it to Bukit Tinggi though with the help of my sister's iPhone's navigation.

I do not know the name of the highway, but as far as I know, to get there, just follow the signboard along the way to Genting Highland, and when there's a suspicious wild "Bukit Tinggi" appears on the signboard along the way, just turn left and you will reach there eventually.
...
Nah, get yourself a GPS !

Once we reach there, there were two beautifully painted guard houses, which I named them "the overpriced toll station", welcoming us. And the entrance fee was RM12 for each adult and RM8 for each child in the car. Note, IT WAS RM12, I'm not sure about the price of the tix now, since they are insanely increasing it every year. They can priced a can of 100 Plus RM8, how can't they increase the price every year, with the massive amount of foreign and local tourists visiting every year.

So once you've paid for the tix, there will be a small car distance of road leading to either the direction of the Japanese Village, Animal Park or Colmar Tropicale. The Japanese Village was just built not long ago, after the French-themed resort and the bunny park.

We actually been to the French village before, so we went to the Japanese Village first. There is actually nothing much for me to relate the place as a Japanese Village. Except the two small Japanese-style houses and the one or two Bonsai plant in the botanic garden.
A signboard in Japanese Village

Me and my very short ELDER sister

Most of the plant in the, so called Japanese Botanic Garden, are those can be found in tropical rainforest.
Those trees in Japanese Village

And there is this house, which rent Kimono for tourists. If I haven't forget, RM30 for a Kimono rental for 2 hours and you can photograph with it in the house and in the garden. But my sister thought it was too expensive, and so she didn't want it. Well, I can see that she wants herself in the real Kimono and photographed in the real Japan. Biiiaaatch, lao niang want a real Japan. LOL. Then we headed to the French village after that.

Don't need to afraid of no parking. There is a wide area of newly-built car park. With the amount of money they earned each year, they can't afford to have a small parking area. I must admit that this place is like the small Disney castle. The only Disney castle in Malaysia? But of course there is still a big gap of difference between the real Disney castle with this one though.
The French village

There are actually nothing much inside. Except the huge amount of people busy passing by and posing in front of their camera. Also, this place is not that big. About 20 minutes of slow walk, we can manage to reach to the end edge of this place from the entrance of the castle. Along the way are restaurants, restaurants, and restaurants, and a small fountain, a typical-castle-like-fountain as if it is mandatory to be built in order for this place to look like a castle. There are actually nothing much inside. Oh wait, didn't I mention it before already? Because it is.
Tourists everywhere, mostly are local tourists.

Then we went to the animal park. Children all around and the smell of rabbit, chicken, horses. Oh, FYI, we have to pay another RM5 entrance fee for this one. It is not included in the RM12 entrance fee that we've paid before. See how they earn money? BUSINESS. If you are an animal lover, especially a bunny lover, then you must definitely check it out. We can enter inside and hold every bunny that hopping around. Well, not every bunny is hopping though. Some of them looked very tired being carried and bullied by the children around.
I mean, ya, like this.

 Rabbits

Still remember I said that the 100Plus there costs RM8? You can definitely imagine the price of the meals there. So it is not advisable to dine there. So we headed to Bentong for lunch ! Food ! So excited !
Along the way back to KL, there is a way to Bentong. Bentong 新村.

Packed with cars and people

FYI, this place produced the well-known Bentong ginger. You can see how excited my mum too. She bought like kilosssss of ginger back as souvenirs for grandma and aunties. We ate our lunch at a chinese restaurant, which coincidentally has the same name as my daddy's name. LEONG CHEE HONG RESTAURANT. LOL.
CHEE HOONG restaurant

Highly recommend their 瓦煲淡水虾冬粉 (claypot freshwater prawn with glass noodle), which is SUPERBLY DELIAAAACIOUSSSS! I am drooling right now ! @.@
Delicious !
LOOK AT THE SIZE. COMPARE IT WITH MY FORK AND SPOON !

After that we headed back to Klang Bukit Tinggi.

Oh there she is, so happily holding the 100Plus I bought for her when I lost in a bet. ISH!!!! Wait for the revenge sista!!

You-Tube Music Sensation

I know right ! Blogging can be very additive. Although I'm not getting feedback from anyone, but I feel very satisfied lah, in a indirectly way? Ya, my social life sucks, so I 'self-social' by blogging. (sound so pathetic right) *forever alone*

So, most of the time I'm on internet is either Facebook or You-Tube. And last time I did a post about how I spend my time on You-Tube, and posted bunch of interesting channels that I subscribed to.
This time I'm trying to do the same thing, by sharing some of the You-Tube cover singers that I like.

1.Music producer KurtHugoSchneider
No doubt. I really love how the producer make the singers always sounded so cool in his videos. Great effort in editing his video, very talented music background, always manage to make the cover song better than the original singer. Super thumbs up for his production team.

2.Sam Tsui
I actually felt in love with English pop song for the first time because he covered all the songs so incredibly good. I'm sure everyone heard of him. I am very surprised that until now why he is still not signed to any singing company.

3.Christina Grimmie
Very pure, raw, and I just love her voice. No fancy production or editing, just pure acoustic cover with her piano. Really love her very much. Listen to this cover ! Even Jason Mraz posted her video on his FB.

4.Boyce Avenue
A band that covers pop songs. Not every songs they covered are great, because sometimes they tried to change the pop song into a very weird band-genre-type of song which doesn't quite fit into the original song. This is one of the best song they covered.

Other You-Tuber like Tiffany Alvord and Megan Nicole are, sorry, not really my cup of tea. But they are really good as well. The songs they cover are more to the girl-ish type, I guess.

And then I found this Jason Chen who is also a very well-known Taiwanese-American You-Tuber, who sometimes covers chinese song on his channel. His original songs are just amazing. (provided if you can accept auto-tuned songs)

Oh ya, and then I somehow discovered pure-instrumental music You-Tube artists like Lindsey Stirling and The Piano Guys. They are really good lah. Great production, incredible talent.

1.Lindsey Stirling who plays violin and dances modern-dance in her video.
Violen instrumental music with dubstep! Imagine that!
Watch her video, 44 million views !

2.The Piano Guys
If you really enjoy listening to pure insturmental music, try watching their videos on You-Tube. They have the best production team to shoot their video.
Pretty impressive !

Dot.
Actually there are more amazing You-Tube singer out there. But those who came to my mind are only these people.

I've always wanted to blog about all these people long time ago. But lazy. And this long holiday can let me to do anything I wanted to do. Including blogging.

P/S: My poor language makes the expression of the words become not so good. Sometimes it's dull and blunt. I apologize for that.
But I take blogging as my interest.
In some way, I feel like to share something that's in my life is something very enjoyable. And blogging also a way to record down how much I've grown when I look back to these posts in the future.

My personal blog indeed.

A short semester break.

I am actually having a culture-shock right at this moment. By culture-shock, I mean, I'm not very used to the way I'm spending my time right now. I was just so hardworking last week and now I am, literally, doing nothing at home EVERY FREAKING DAY. I think I've made a used-to-be-very-promising-and-meaningful-holiday-plan. (wtf so long haha) But I still don't see this plan is working out.
Well, I guess I should list it out in my blog first, so that I can always remind myself again what to do to fill up my time.

A very rational holiday plan will do.
I have 5 weeks of semester break, and I just wasted a week, which leave me with only 4 weeks of holidays left.
Let's see, what comes to my mind I will just write it here.

1. Finish reading The Hunger Games Trilogy.
To be frank, I actually hate to read books, like every kinds of book, textbook, exercise book, or novel, as long as it's a book. The last book I read was Twilight. wtf. Well, my interest towards a thing will be always a flash in the pan. So I actually bought these books because I think the movie is good. And since I bought it, no matter how, I have to force myself to read. HAHA, yalah, weird Ah Wai indeed. Eh, I have this uncle attitude also lah, don't waste lah, this 3 books cost me about a hundred bucks you know, must read them all only worth my money mah. lolol. Reading is not a bad activity tho.
I am reading...

2. Be a good boy.
I am a mama's boy, even until now. Well, I am proud to be, even I am already 21. I am so happy and blessed that I am the one be loved. So when next time people starting to be mean to me saying I am a mama's boy in a mean way, I will gonna admit it with a very "of course" attitude. This way doesn't work on me, bitch. lolol. Okay, wait. So what is this gonna do with my holiday plan? To be a good boy clean the house for CNY ! I am excited for CNY like everybody. But don't like to do spring cleaning. Normally I will just do whatever that is easy. This time also. HAHA. Oklah, at least I'm behaving as a good son. Not a jia liao bee. lolol.

3.Start preparing for my next semester?
I know everyone is gonna punch me REAL HARD right to my handsome face when saw this.
But wait. Part of it is because of my kiasu attitude. No doubt. But the main reason is because my CGPA is keep dropping every semester, and I really don't want this to continue.

Here's the thing, I am not really sure about it, but as far as I see, to score in public university can be really easy if we really put a little more effort into it. I always blame myself every end of semester for not doing my best. And I am tired of regretting anymore. Besides, I am just starting to know what direction I should go. So I definitely should put more effort academically.

I guess that's all. Well, at least all are achievable. And confirm better than slacking at home.
I'll start my meaningful holiday tomorrow !
Let's do it !!

*setting my alarm clock to 11.59am*

*yaoming face*
*I will still wake up at 2pm in the afternoon anyway*

lolololol

Happy 2013

I always think that it was really 'cheesy' when I see people posting "new year resolutions" on Facebook. Cheh, *digging nose* like you think you made up a wishlist and Genie will grant all your wishes come true.
And, why do people only like to construct their wishlist only on the New Year? Why don't they do that every February or ... September or ... 31st August in front of the TV when watching parade in the morning or something?
There must be a reason.

Hmm, wait, maybe I was wrong. Genie might be real and we should always believe in fairy tales. Making a, so called, New Year Resolutions is not so bad after all. Everyone is celebrating new year. And new year means everything is a whole new start.
And sometimes you just have to let yourself to have a "re-born" mindset. A "whole new" you.

Sometimes we need some motivation to give us reason to live our life. And when you set up a new year resolutions to yourself, you are apparently setting a new goals in your life, which only lasts for a year. Which is necessary for every person to live their life.

So, now I finally got the point. It's good lah, people setting new year resolutions.
I am not a hipster, so I follow the mainstream trend. So, here I go now, here's my new year resolutions :
1. Maintain my CGPA. (I don't ask for more, I'm happy if I am able to maintain it)
2. Know where am I and where I want to go.
3. Experience more new experience.
4. Develop new hobbies.
5. Have a new look. (I need a Ty-over a.k.a. make-over :P)
6. Make new friends.
7. Improve my guitar skills. (I'm happy that I know I have passion in playing guitar, still a noobie level though)

(Well, this blog is meant to be personal, so it will be only me, can't expect something like "world peace", "save the earth", "don't text and drive" etc. in the list though)
So when people celebrating birthday with me and when they nag me to say out my wishes, if I would tell something like "I wish the world will be a be a better place to live in", I am actually just...err, partially mean it. ^^V

*Busy scrolling down Facebook to look for more* WAH, more and more new year resolutions appeared. Okay lah, hope everyone who take the effort in making their new year resolutions can have a great year in 2013.
I'm just gonna make a very positive ending here.
Happy New Year !! ^^

Random Fact :

P/S: Please be nice to me 2013. ^^"
