Music . Life

I hardly listen to underground music because I can't understand what message they trying to deliver. The rhythm, melody and lyric sometime just doesn't suit me. I listen to contemporary-pop songs that sung by well-known international singer. Some people may think that those songs are merely made for earnings but I still enjoy that. I'm not a musician anyway.

Most of the songs in my playlist are songs that covered by the Glee casts.

Glee isn't just a musical-comedy drama. This 1-hour TV series input a lot of inspirational messages to the viewers, and sometime the songs and choreographs are just so entertaining. If you have not watch Glee before, please start watching now, because they are amazing. :D

Some other songs I'm listening are introduced by the YouTube singers. YouTube is definitely a good pathway for a street-walker to become a celebrity. Some really-talented people just SHINE on YouTube where they upload their cover song videos and show off their stunning voices to us besides earning some pocket money by persuading people to support them by buying their songs on iTunes. YouTubers like Sam Tsui, Christina Grimmie, Maddi Jane, Jason Chen, Gerald Ko, etc are really talented singer. Check them out on YouTube!

There is always a song to represent ourselves at a certain moment.

Some songs capture our memories. And when we listen back to the older songs, a lot of memories just pops out in our mind. So which song appear in your mind now?

Here are my 10-songs-at-this-moment :

1. Firework - Katy Perry
2. Born This Way - Lady Gaga

5. Someone Like You - Adele
6. Hey, Soul Sister - Train
7. Best Thing I Never Had - Beyonce
8. Marry You - Bruno Mars
9. Animal - Neon Trees
10. Jar of Heart - Christina Perri

I really love listening to songs and I can't wait for my next 10-songs-at-this-moment. :D

9 things I did in 9 months

9 months ain't a short duration. A lot of things can change during this period. A girl can even deliver a baby and become a mother during this interval of time!

Hmm.. just to review back what have I done. I'm actually struggle a lot when looking back what I did in this almost 9 months of time because I spent most of my time slacking at home playing nonsence-no-benefit games. (Angry Birds which I passed all the levels, Ragnarok Online with characters of high levels, etc)

From the top, here it goes :

1. Slacking at home.

This was initially not in my plan at all for my entire 9-months holiday. I started planning some stuff during the first month thinking what should I do during the holiday. Thinking of something that can fill up my days besides gaining some knowledge. But who knows I'm actually spending most of my time sleeping and watching TV at home. Ah, such a loser. I hope when I read back this post in the future I will still feel guilty and don't ever do this again during my holiday!

2. Worked as part-timer in Popular Bookstore.

I spent only 3.5 months working part time. I'm actually expecting to see and learn more stuff from them but ended up I'm actually learning not much. Environment is still like school-time. Colleagues are like your classmates. They are not ''dangerous'' enough for me which I find it not good because I can't learn all the ''soft skills'' that a working person suppose to have. Most probably because they are still young, not much working experiences. But then, working there, still fun.

3. Made new friends.

Something that I find so good for me. I always feel so thankful when I have chances to make new friends. Really appreciate it.

4. Got offers from universities.

Tertiary education is a ''must'' for the people nowadays. I'm still quite confused when I heard people advising their juniors to stop pursuing their education if they wanna become a boss in future. I think this concept doesn't apply in this generation now!

5. Did an embarrassing stuff in front of ex-classmates.

I feel like singing Teenage Dream :"Don't ever look back, don't ever look back! "

6. Learn how to play a guitar.

Music is so important in my life. Did you ever cry before after you listened to a song? No, I didn't. But still, music always never fail to release my tension and speaks out my emotions. Learning how to play a guitar from YouTube is not difficult. I'm now pretty confident to say that I can play a guitar now. :D

7. Learn how to bake.

Not a true statement. Made egg tarts and pandan cake with sister. Get to know something new : to bake is easy, to bake nicely, not so easy!

8. Re-Blog.

Blogging is fun. Especially when people say something good and giving support about your blog. I'm damn surprised when I met my ex-schoolmate saying that I did a good job writing funny posts on my blog. That's really gave me a lot of motivation to keep blogging. I stopped for almost a year+. Reading back my old posts is so entertaining for me. Blogging can keep and share my thoughts at that moment. And I have decided to start back my blog. Hope I will maintain it.. HAHA!

9. Grown up.

Read back my older posts make me feel I'm so childish at that time. Everything changes when we grow older. I believe I had grown up so much during this 9 months of break. Experiences I gained, worth it. HOHOHOHO!

In a Nutshell..

Has our government realise the existence of STPM students?

I don't think so...

Advantages are all given to Matriculation students. When I say ALL, I mean ALL!! They have the quota rule that majority of the public university students are for Matriculation students. Extra vacant seats? Ok lah ok lah~ Give to STPM students lah! Now this is what happen during the enrolment selection of public universities. And yet we felt so thankful, eyes filled with tears of joy, jump up with happiness, etc etc when we get the offer from them even though is not the course we want..!!

What's next? We spent 1.5 years studying all the STPM syllabus and yet the exam is so damn hard! What's next? 5 months of waiting before we start our form 6 life and 9 months of waiting only can enter public university.. we spent almost 15 months just to wait! How stupiak our government policy!

I got Electric and Electronic Engineering in Universiti Putra Malaysia. This is my 6th choice. 2 weeks away before enter university. Don't really have much special feeling. Maybe because this is not the course I really want.

But still, at this point, I'm not regret taking STPM. I believe every STPM students have the same thought as me too! Hope all my fella STPM friends enjoy their university life, because we deserve it! :D *RAISE YOUR GLASS STPM-ER*
